Biography

Suhrab Ahmad is one of the pioneer faculty members of University of Chitral. He holds M.Phil degree in Political Science. Before establishment of the said University he was serving as a Lecturer in Political Science Department, Abdul Wali Khan University Mardan since February 20, 2013. While serving in AWKUM he was not only involved in academic affairs but also took very keen interests in administrative matters. He remained Coordinator of Abdul Wali Khan University Mardan, Bacha Khan Campus Chitral for Two times (6 months duration in total), and Chief Proctor of the Campus for some months and for the rest of his tenure excluding few months as Chairman of the Department. He has the honor of being the last Coordinator of the Campus and the first Chairman of Political Science Department, University of Chitral.

Before joining Abdul Wali Khan University Mardan, Mr. Suhrab Ahmad had joined Higher Education Department as a Lecturer (BPS 17) through Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Public Service Commission. He was posted in Government Postgraduate College No. 1 Abbottabad, where he served for two and a half years. During his services in the said College he was the Deputy Warden of its Federal Hostel as well.

During student life Mr. Suhrab Ahmad always got distinction in exams. He was very lucky to top the District Chitral in F.Sc, which paved for him the way to get admission in the very prestigious University of Pakistan “Government College University Lahore” famously known as The Oxford of Asia. He not only did his graduation from this reputed Varsity, but also got his Master Degree from it.

Currently Mr. Suhrab Ahmad is holding a very key position of Deputy Director Admissions at the University of Chitral. Apart of this he is supervising many students of Master Program in their research works.

Mr. Suhrab Ahmad keeps deep interest in Local Government System. In his M.Phil thesis he has presented a very clear picture of the effectiveness of General Musharraf’s local government system in Chitral. He has also enough understanding of Political Systems of different developed and developing states.
