Mrs. Azra Amir is a pioneering faculty member in the Department of Political Science at the University of Chitral. She holds an MS degree in Political Science from the prestigious International Islamic University, Islamabad, one of the leading universities in Pakistan. Prior to that, she completed her MA in Political Science from the sub-campus of Abdul Wali Khan University, Mardan, where she excelled and was awarded a Gold medal. Following her graduation, she embarked on her career as a contract lecturer at the same campus.
On November 1, 2016, Mrs. Azra successfully qualified for a regular position as a lecturer in Political Science and has been serving in that capacity ever since. Furthermore, she was entrusted with the role of Assistant Controller of Examinations, which she executed with unwavering dedication and passion. In addition to her teaching responsibilities, she also serves as the departmental coordinator, actively contributing to the smooth functioning of the department.
Mrs. Azra's outstanding contributions have been recognized, and she has recently been nominated as a member of the Academic Council and the F & PC (Finance and Planning Committee) at the University of Chitral. Her dedication to research is evident through her publication in the Indian Journal of Economics and Business, a highly regarded journal categorized as "X" by the Higher Education Commission (HEC). Additionally, she has several other research papers in the pipeline awaiting publication. Her research interests primarily revolve around Public Policies, Foreign Policy, and Political Economy.
